Who we are

BostonStrategy.com tells the Story of how alliances formed among people working on the front lines with gang-involved youth and how, through those alliances, Boston began to take the steps that stopped kids from killing kids in the streets. A timeline provides a quick overview of the story’s highlights.

The Players also speak for themselves: you can go directly to the individual stories and reflections of police and probation officers, streetworkers, clergy, prosecutors, city officials, the mayor, and university professors—all of whom were key partners in the collaboration. Two initiatives—Operation Night Light and Operation Cease Fire—form the core of the Boston Strategy. Numerous other programs have played, and continue to play, a critical supporting role.

We describe these Programs briefly and provide information on how to learn more about them.
